Pattern makers are very popular here in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, especially if you have been working for about 5 years, have certain work experience, and have high salary and status. Currently, all designers in China are copycats, and there are no real designers. I think you can stick with pattern making. Or if your English is good, you can go to Shanghai to work as a clothing foreign trade salesman, and the salary will be good.
