The company’s predecessor, Damao Auto Lighting, was established in May 1995. At that time, it was wholly owned by Taiwan Tiwei West Transportation Industry Co., Ltd. In October 2005, the joint venture with Visteon of the United States was officially announced. In January 2013, it officially announced the establishment of a joint venture with India's Verrico.

The company is located in Xinbei District, Changzhou City, about 200 kilometers west of Shanghai. The factory covers an area of ??49,766 square meters and has about 1,500 employees.
