What does die casting tooling mean?

Die casting die refers to the special tools and equipment used in the die casting process.

Die casting is a process in which molten metal is injected into a mold and solidified by pressure. Die-casting molds mainly include molds, mold bases, die-casting machines and cooling systems.

1. Die is the core part of die-casting die, which is used to make the shape of products. A mold usually consists of two or more parts, including an upper mold and a lower mold. The shape of the cavity between the upper die and the lower die corresponds to the shape of the final product. Mold base is the support for fixing the mold, which can ensure the stability of the mold during die casting.

2. Die casting machine is a device for applying pressure and injecting molten metal. It usually consists of hydraulic system, injection system and control system. The hydraulic system provides the required pressure, the injection system injects molten metal into the mold, and the control system is used to control the parameters of the whole die casting process.

3. The cooling system is a device for cooling and solidifying molten metal. In the process of die casting, molten metal needs rapid cooling to keep its shape. The cooling system usually includes a cooling water pipe and a cooler to reduce the temperature of molten metal by circulating cooling water.
