How to learn GIS well

1. During my college years, I will study advanced mathematics, probability and mathematical statistics, matrix, English, cartography, data structure, gis principle, remote sensing, digital elevation model, database and other key courses.

2. Freshman, learn some common softwares such as AutoCAD, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and 3DMax according to his interests, and learn C language well;

3, sophomore, learn data structure well, learn a development language, Java, VC++ can be;

4. In junior year, we must learn the commonly used GIS professional software, such as ArcGIS, MapInfo, MapGIS and Erdas, and develop AO, MO, MapX and MapGIS for the second time, combining with professional models, not limited to simple operations such as enlargement, reduction, translation, drawing points, lines and surfaces, and try our best to make professional models combining with reality.

Actively participate in the development competition of GIS software companies such as SuperMap or Zhongdi. With such opportunities and experiences, your ability can be greatly improved.

5, senior year, actively participate in job fairs and make exquisite resumes.
