Natural resources in Guangxi

Guangxi is rich in marine resources. The long continental coastline and suitable ratio of bend to straight make Guangxi coastal areas known as natural excellent port groups. There are many kinds of marine biological resources in Beibu Gulf, such as fish, shrimp, cephalopods, crabs, shellfish, other marine animals and algae. There are more than 20 kinds of marine mineral resources such as coal, peat, aluminum, tin, zinc, mercury, gold, ilmenite, quartz sand, gypsum, limestone, granite and clay. Beibu Gulf Basin, Yinggehai Basin and Hepu Basin are rich in marine oil and natural gas resources. Other salt chemical resources, marine energy resources and fresh water resources are also abundant.

The coastal area of Guangxi is located in the northern part of Beibu Gulf, and the sea area of China is about 6.5438+0.293 million square kilometers, starting from Yingluo Port at the junction of Guangdong and Guangxi, along Tieshan Port, Beihai Port, Dafeng River, Qinzhou Bay, Fangchenggang, Qisha Port and Pearl Harbor, and reaching the mouth of Beilun River on the Sino-Vietnamese border. The coastline of the mainland is about 1500 km long. There are 697 coastal islands, with 65/kloc-0 islands over 500 square meters, with a total coastline of 600 kilometers and a total island area of 84 square kilometers. Some mineral reserves rank in the forefront of the country and even the world, so Guangxi is also known as the "hometown of non-ferrous metals".

The main minerals in northern Guangxi are: tin, lead, zinc, antimony, mercury, silver, pyrite and talc;

The main minerals in central Guangxi are limestone, dolomite and barite.

Among them, Nandan tin mine, Pingguo bauxite mine and Ningming bentonite mine are well-known.
