Wang Xiao took Wei La and his group to the village. Walking through the 100-year-old grandma's home, he talked about the daily routine in Yunnanese and patiently explained it to us.

After the project ended, Wang Xiao and another partner stayed to do children's services.

But once he did it, he never left.

The most important thing is that the parents are willing to talk to Wang Xiao about their children.

Set out with all your heart, no longer waiting for anyone

Still working purely in Hongren Village, 2017 has arrived in a blink of an eye. Wang Xiao is a senior and it’s time to find a job. His prejudice against social workers has long since dissipated. He wants to find a mature public welfare organization to stay for two years to gain more comprehensive experience.

But things in the village couldn't stop him.

Already he was coordinating all matters, large and small, just like a founder: visiting foundations, meeting with partners, supporting interns... and at the juncture of graduation, establishing an organization seemed to be a smooth process.

But no matter how good the foundation is for what Wang Xiao is doing in the village, once he sets up an organization, it is like a blank sheet of paper. He has to draw the territory in every direction and quickly establish the foundation. Can it be done? His first full-time job summary was full of worries: Is it necessary to build an agency?

Tangled, self-doubt, and on the verge of giving up countless times, but looking at the children and peers, he is still at the forefront, doing projects, running procedures, and registering for the Renxin Social Work Service Center, from beginning to end. Support an immature team.

Unknowingly, I got through the most difficult moment.

Now, Wang Xiao can stay in the village with peace of mind again. Challenges in the start-up period are always there, and he accepts them, formulates countermeasures, takes action quickly, and always tries his best.

Looking back at his decisions and actions at that time, Wang Xiao has no regrets.
