Guiyang No.2 Middle School was founded in 193 1 year, adjacent to Wenchang Pavilion, Guishan Academy and the former site of Guizhou Provincial Working Committee of the Underground Party. It is a provincial key middle school. The school was formerly known as Guiyang Girls' Middle School in Guizhou Province, 1969 was renamed Guiyang No.2 Middle School, and 1980 was identified as the first batch of provincial middle schools.

20 10 was awarded the first batch of high school curriculum reform demonstration schools in Guizhou province by the provincial education department, and 20 1 10 was awarded the title of Guiyang science and technology characteristic school.

As of June 20 15, the school covers an area of 133 18 square meters, with a building area of 23,900 square meters. There are 188 full-time and part-time teachers, more than 40 classes and more than 2,300 students.
