Where is the deep sea base?

The deep-sea base is located in Aoshanwei Street, Jimo District, Qingdao.

The National Deep Sea Base was built by Qingdao Jian 'an Construction Group Co., Ltd., located in Aoshanwei Street, Jimo District, Qingdao, with an area of 390 mu and a sea area of 62.7 hectares. On March 201May 17, the mother ship "Xiang Yanghong 09" carrying the manned submersible "Jiaolong" ended its scientific research mission in the Indian Ocean and docked at the dock of Qingdao Home Port National Deep Sea Base, and the National Deep Sea Base was officially opened.

The deep-sea base project is unprecedented in China. It is the fifth deep-sea technical support base in the world after Russia, the United States, France and Japan. Building it into a multi-functional and fully open national public service platform for the whole country has long-term strategic significance for realizing the grand long-cherished wish of the Chinese nation to "fly to the moon for nine days" and "catch turtles in five oceans" and safeguarding China's maritime security and maritime rights and interests.

Deep sea base construction

The State Council approved the establishment of a national deep-sea base in June 2007.

20 10 June, the feasibility study report of the first phase of the project was approved, and a national deep-sea base will be built in Aoshanwei Town, jimo city. The land requisition for the national deep-sea base has been basically completed. After the master plan is approved, the detailed revision plan and individual design are being carried out, which will be reported to the National Development and Reform Commission for approval around 1 month, and then the preliminary design will be completed in two months, and the construction will start at the end of 20 12.

The wharf and laboratory will be built first, which will be completed by the end of 20 13, 20 14 and 20 15.
