According to official website of Neijiang No.6 Middle School in Sichuan Province, Neijiang No.6 Middle School in Sichuan Province is located in Neijiang City, Sichuan Province. It is the first batch of key middle schools directly under Sichuan Province, the former national model ordinary high school in Sichuan Province and the first-class model ordinary high school in Sichuan Province. Neijiang No.6 Middle School in Sichuan Province was founded in the autumn of 1939. Its predecessor was Chongqing Qiujing Middle School Neijiang Branch, and 1944 was renamed Neijiang County Private Mainland Middle School. 1953 was renamed Neijiang No.1 Junior High School in Sichuan Province, and it was renamed many times. 1980, the school was officially renamed as "No.6 Middle School in Neijiang City, Sichuan Province".

Official website showed that Neijiang Railway Middle School was formally established in September 1976. On July 1 day, 2004, it was officially handed over to Neijiang Education Bureau for management.
