Recently, I watched the movie Islander, which tells the story of an ordinary couple who have been guarding the island for 32 years.

The film is based on real events in Wang Jicai and Wang Shihua. The island they are guarding is called "Kaishan Island", a small island in the Yellow Sea, with an area of only two football fields. There are no people without electricity and fresh water on the island. Weeds are overgrown, the sea breeze is whistling and people are inaccessible. This small island is only 900 nautical miles away from Japan, which is an important geographical location for China's national defense and coastal defense. The islanders are well aware of their mission, and they have dedicated their lives to this small island for everyone.

This film has no cool special effects, no grand story background, some are real and moving story lines, the actors' incisive acting skills, and a work of conscience that people are completely immersed in.

There are several clips in the movie that make me feel particularly tearful.

Others have been to this island, but they can't stand it in less than five days, while Wang Jicai stayed for 32 years until the last moment of his life. I think besides his sense of mission, it is also inseparable from his optimistic spirit of being fearless in times of crisis.

(2) Wang Shihua: You keep the island and I will keep you.

Wang Shihua is Wang Jicai's wife. He went to the island without telling his wife. Wang Shihua didn't know it at first. She is a very promising person. Wang Jicai told him that he would be back in half a month, so he left for several months. Wang Shihua also wrote a divorce agreement to divorce Wang Jicai. Later, Wang Jicai's father told Wang Shihua the truth, and Wang Shihua dismissed the idea.

Wang Shihua is the only female high school student in the area. She was highly educated at that time. Being a local primary school teacher is the envy of everyone. After seeing Wang Jicai's life on the island, she made a deliberate decision: to resign and stay with Wang Jicai.

These six words, Wang Shihua proved his determination with his whole life.

Here, I saw the most romantic love, 32 years of mutual support and companionship, and devoted my life to the border security of the motherland.

Xiao Douzi (the person whose life was saved by Wang Jicai) visited Wang Jicai on the island and told his daughter Bao Xiao that she had dropped out of school to work. Wang Jicai looked at Minister Wang in front of the hospital bed and said to him: Minister Wang, don't worry, I will never leave Kaishan Island in my life. I made up my mind to stay there long ago. (5) Huaihai Opera: Going back to my parents' home.

Wang Shihua lived on the island all the year round, and his leg was ill. During the performance, he stood unsteadily many times. Wang Jicai can help him go to Wang Shihua every time.
