Shenzhen State Taxation Bureau was established on September 28th, 1994. According to the arrangement of the national tax-sharing reform, the former Shenzhen Taxation Bureau was divided into "Shenzhen State Taxation Bureau" and "Shenzhen Local Taxation Bureau". Shenzhen State Taxation Bureau (hereinafter referred to as "Shenzhen State Taxation Bureau") is the functional department in charge of national tax work in Shenzhen, and it is a full-featured bureau at the main hall level.

1September 28th, 994, according to the deployment of the central government, the former Shenzhen Municipal Taxation Bureau was divided into "Shenzhen State Taxation Bureau" and "Shenzhen Local Taxation Bureau". After previous institutional reforms, Shenzhen State Taxation Bureau currently has 16 administrative departments (offices), 4 directly affiliated institutions, 5 institutions, and 9 full-featured regional bureaus at bureau level. Namely Luohu District Bureau, Futian District Bureau, Nanshan District Bureau, Yantian District Bureau, Baoan District Bureau, Longgang District Bureau, Guangming New District Bureau, Pingshan New District Bureau and Shekou State Taxation Bureau. Baoan and Longgang District Bureau 1 1 non-full-function tax bureau. Except Yantian District Bureau, Guangming New District Bureau and Pingshan New District Bureau, the other six district bureaus all have deputy-level inspection bureaus.
