Characteristics of previous exhibitions of Beijing International Science and Technology Industry Expo, China

The First Science and Technology Fair (1998): 35 bonded zones in the Development Zone, 9 high-tech parks in the Beijing New Technology Industry Development Experimental Zone, and 5 scientific research institutes and universities in Beijing 105 became the three major groups participating in the exhibition, showing the development potential of China's high-tech industries.

The 2nd Science and Technology Fair (1999): The Beijing New Technology Industry Development Experimental Zone launched the slogan "Zhongguancun, China". Relying on the industries of Peking University and Tsinghua, 43 high-tech private enterprises with high-tech characteristics and great influence in the whole country were exhibited, which fully demonstrated the comprehensive scientific research strength and scientific and technological achievements of Zhongguancun Science City. After the exhibition, the state officially approved the establishment of Zhongguancun Science Park.

The Third Science and Technology Fair (2000): The exhibition area was greatly increased, and two temporary exhibition halls were specially built. The exhibition halls began to be classified by industry, and professional exhibition halls appeared. Zhongguancun exhibited the prospect planning of "one district and five parks"-Haidian Park, Fengtai Park, Changping Park, Electronic City Science Park and Yizhuang Science Park, which was the first time Zhongguancun made a collective appearance.

The 4th Science and Technology Expo (2001): * * There are 9 exhibition halls, including all the exhibition halls in Beijing, including Agricultural Exhibition Hall, Beijing Exhibition Hall, International Trade Center, International Conference Center, Architectural and Cultural Center, Splendid Land Exhibition Center, China Millennium Monument and Olympic Sports Center, with a total exhibition area of 10. The Ninth Five-Year Plan Achievement Exhibition organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology was included in the International Week Exhibition for the first time. By displaying a number of breakthrough technological achievements in the fields of agriculture, energy, transportation, metallurgy, machinery, electronic communication, new materials, resource utilization, environmental protection and disaster prevention and mitigation, it promoted the transformation and industrialization of achievements and expanded the social impact of the Ninth Five-Year Plan. At the same time, it also greatly enriched the content of this exhibition, improved the scientific and technological content of the exhibition, and fully reflected the national status of this exhibition.

The 5th Science and Technology Fair (2002): The main venue of this year's Science and Technology Fair has * * set up 17 professional exhibition areas, and for the first time, it has set up patent gold award, patented technology, international design, robotics, power industry and other exhibition areas. The Olympic Science and Technology Action Plan Team composed of ten ministries and commissions, including the Ministry of Science and Technology, set up the "Science and Technology Olympic Exhibition Area" in the main exhibition area of the Expo for the first time, and used various means to display science and technology. In addition, modern agriculture exhibition, modern media exhibition, financial exhibition, development zone construction achievement exhibition, architectural technology exhibition, overseas university of science and technology promotion meeting, talent recruitment meeting, Beijing Education Week and other exhibitions. It basically covers all high-tech fields and the tertiary industry serving high-tech.

The 6th Science and Technology Fair (2003): Affected by SARS, the Science and Technology Fair was held in September. The scale of the exhibition is reduced by half, but the degree of specialization is higher. The main exhibition hall has set up a 14 professional exhibition area.

Seventh Science and Technology Fair (2004): A large number of high-tech products with international or domestic leading level have gathered, ranking first in all previous science and technology fairs, which is the most remarkable highlight of this exhibition and has also become the focus of media and visitors. The high-tech products and exhibition forms exhibited in this exhibition are closer to people's lives, and the real and direct exhibition methods let ordinary audiences directly experience that high-tech is getting closer and closer to ordinary life.

The Eighth Science and Technology Fair (2005): Some new exhibition contents were set up for the first time: the "Circular Economy and Renewable Energy Exhibition Area" was set up for the first time, and the new concept of circular economy was displayed by displaying renewable new energy technologies and products. The "information security exhibition area" was established for the first time, highlighting the new concept of technology and security. Set up a "Media Science and Technology Exhibition Hall" with the theme of "Media Industrialization and Technological Innovation", with the participation of TV, radio, print media and online media, and focus on displaying the modern media industry supported by high-tech means such as digital TV, digital broadcasting, online communication and digital editing of print media.

The 9th Science and Technology Fair (2006): Two exhibition halls of "Science, Technology and Cultural Creative Industries" were established for the first time, covering an area of nearly 8,000 square meters, showing the industrial resources, advantages and development prospects of the capital as a national cultural center and a city of scientific and technological innovation, as well as the latest achievements and huge industrial strength of the integrated development of science, technology and cultural creative industries, which became the most striking exhibition area of this exhibition.

The 10th Science and Technology Fair (2007): With the theme of "Digital Olympics Technology and Equipment", it brought together well-known electronic, information and communication technology enterprises at home and abroad, and comprehensively displayed the achievements of digital Beijing, digital Olympics construction and information technology innovation. The "Olympic Science and Technology Exhibition Area" is dedicated to displaying the application of independent innovation technology in the construction of Beijing Olympic venues, including venue engineering, service guarantee for athletes, event broadcast, service guarantee for opening and closing ceremonies, event service, traffic and safety guarantee, etc. This exhibition is more people-friendly, with diverse forms and rich interactive content. With the theme of "Science and Technology Entering Citizens' Life", a number of exhibition areas such as digital life, life and health, energy conservation and environmental protection, and creative design were set up, and many high-tech new products closely related to the lives of ordinary people were exhibited.
