Jiancaoping District

Jiancaoping District was established in 1998 after Taiyuan City implemented administrative division adjustment. It currently governs 3 townships, 2 towns, 9 streets, 55 administrative villages, and 73 community neighborhood committees. The total land area is 285.6 square kilometers, of which the built-up area is 41.6 square kilometers. The total population is 492,500, and the permanent population is 310,400. Among them, the non-agricultural population is 209,400 and the agricultural population is 101,000. The district has jurisdiction over 9 street offices, 5 towns, 52 community committees, and 90 administrative villages.

Jiancaoping District has an extensive transportation network: Xinghua Street, North Central Street, Shele Street, Jinqiao Street, Xindian Street, Yangxing Avenue and the Wohushan Expressway running from north to south. Hengshan Road, Datong Road, Binhe East (West) Road, Wenxing Road, Heping North Road, Taibai Road, Duofu Road and Northwest Outer Ring Road.

Xinghualing District

Xinghualing District is an urban-rural integrated urban area established on the basis of the original Beicheng District in 1998. Located in the northeast of Taiyuan City, it has a total area of ??170.2 square kilometers, including 32.2 square kilometers of built-up area and 138 square kilometers of rural area. At present, the permanent population is 779,479, including 731,305 urban residents and 48,174 rural residents. The urbanization rate is 93.82.

It currently governs 10 streets including Sanqiao, Julu, Gulou, Xinghualing, Balingqiao, Dadongguan, Gonggongxin Street, Dunhuafang, Jianhe, Yangjiayu and 1 town in Zhongjianhe. 120 communities and 20 administrative villages.

Yingze District

Yingze District is located in the valley plain east of the Fen River in the central and southern part of Taiyuan City. It is located east of the Fen River in the city and in the middle of the urban area. , adjacent to Yuci District and Shouyang County of Jinzhong City in the east, across the Fen River from Wanbolin District in the west, Xiaodian District in the south, and Xinghualing District in the north. The geographical coordinates are 112°41′ east longitude and 37°51 north latitude.

It has a total area of ??117 square kilometers, a total population of more than 650,000, and jurisdiction over six streets, one town, 101 communities, and 10 administrative villages.

Xiaodian District

Xiaodian District historically belongs to Kujin Yang. It is located on the east bank of Fenhe River and is the seat of the Shanxi Provincial Government. It is now a district under the jurisdiction of Taiyuan City. The southeastern part of Taiyuan City, the northern end of Jinzhong Basin, borders Yuci District of Jinzhong City to the east, Qingxu County to the south, Jinyuan District across the Fen River to the west, and Nanneihuan Street and Yingze District to the north connected.

Districts were established in 1998, with a total area of ??295 square kilometers. It governs 1 town, 2 townships, 7 sub-district offices, two sub-district preparatory groups, 29 rural areas and 151 communities. The permanent population is 1.357 million.

Wanbolin District

Wanbolin District is located in the northwest of Taiyuan City, with a total area of ??304.8 square kilometers, jurisdiction over 14 streets, 15 administrative villages, and 121 communities (including 27 Village to residential community), with a permanent population of about 950,000 and a floating population of more than 300,000. It is a central urban area of ??Taiyuan City that is green and beautiful, with flourishing industries and bursting with vitality.

In 2006, after the adjustment of administrative divisions, Wanbolin District governed 14 streets and 1 township. Namely: Qianfeng Street, Xiayuan Street, Xiaojingyu Street, Heping Street, Wanbolin Street, Xinghua Street, Nanhan Street, Baijiazhuang Street, Duerping Street, Ximing Street, Dongshe Street, Huaketou Street, Changfeng Street, Shentanggou Street and Wangfeng Township.

Jinyuan District

Jinyuan District is located in the southwest of Taiyuan City, adjacent to Wanbolin District to the north, Qingxu County to the south, and Qingxu County and Gujiao City to the west. , bounded by Fenhe River in the east, facing Xiaodian District across the river. The terrain extends from north to south, with mountains and rivers in half, with an area of ??291 square kilometers and a total population of 193,500, including 116,400 agricultural people.

As of June 2013, Jinyuan District has jurisdiction over 3 streets: Jinyuan Street, Yijing Street, and Luocheng Street, and 3 towns: Jinsheng Town, Jinci Town, and Yaocun Town, with a total of 18 communities and 90 administrative villages.
