Fuzhou Popular Cinema is a screening unit owned by the whole people. It is located in Bayi 7 Middle Road, adjacent to the prosperous Dongjiekou Scenic Resort in the south, Taijiang District in the business center in the north, Wusi Road, the main traffic road in the east, and three lanes and seven lanes in the cultural center in the west. It has a unique geographical advantage.

The cinema was founded in 1947, rebuilt in 198, and then rebuilt twice. At present, it has a 96-square-meter shopping mall facing the street with four projection halls, which can show different movie programs at the same time.

The main auditorium can accommodate 8 spectators, with a height of 14 meters and a width of 25 meters. It has a free from worry space and abundant volume, and the acoustics are built in strict accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO2969. The sound reproduction system of the main audience hall adopts the original imported Dolby equipment from the United States, and has the sound reproduction function of Dolby SR.D., SR.D-EX and DTS.

Making the audience feel that the film sound in the best state is not only better sound quality, but also can consistently restore the sound that reflects the director's original creative intention in the cinema. The screen of the hall is made of super-large metal screen with a height of 7 meters and a width of 16.5 meters, which is the largest projection screen in our province at present.

The original German Cai Shi lens can provide the audience with a clear and immersive feeling. The main audience hall is equipped with central air conditioning, standard audience soft seats are installed, and various indicators are strictly < P > implemented according to international common parameters, so people can watch movies without obstruction and experience their feelings. The standard viewing place, scientific sound field distribution, advanced sound reproduction equipment, wide screen, suitable viewing temperature and unobstructed viewing angle provide people with feelings that can never be obtained by small cinemas. The small projection halls on the second and fourth floors of the cinema can accommodate 53 and 92 seats respectively.

Dolby SR.D sound reproduction system is adopted for audio equipment, and audience soft seats and air conditioning equipment are installed and arranged in strict accordance with the standard, which is suitable for small and medium-sized group parties and has strong randomness, and can fully display different types of personalities. The DLP digital cinema on the third floor can accommodate 76 seats, which can provide people with different types of movie programs as a supplement to the different needs of the audience.

Fuzhou Popular Cinema is the first unit in our province to introduce and adopt international advanced sound system. Since 1988, its sound reconstruction project has been guided and affirmed by professors of China Acoustics Research Institute and senior teachers of provincial film system respectively.
