Bitauto News Recently, SAIC-GM-Wuling’s first batch of new energy vehicle complete sets were exported overseas on a railway train. The models exported this time are GSEV (Global Small Electric Vehicle Architecture) products, which will be assembled and produced at the Indonesian subsidiary of SAIC-GM-Wuling, bringing Chinese smart new energy vehicles to Indonesian consumers.

SAIC-GM-Wuling has been deeply involved in overseas markets for many years, and its products have been exported to more than 40 countries and regions including Central and South America, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Since its launch, GSEV (Global Small Electric Vehicle Architecture) products have been loved by consumers in China. As of April, the total sales of GSEV exceeded 850,000 units, and its representative product Hongguang MINIEV has won the sales champion of a single new energy model in China for 20 consecutive months.

Based on promoting the development of Indonesia's new energy industry, SAIC-GM-Wuling's Indonesian subsidiary actively participates in the development of Indonesia's new energy industry. In April 2021, at the IIMS Indonesia Jakarta International Auto Show, the Indonesian New Energy Vehicle Association was announced at the Wuling booth. As a major member of the Indonesian New Energy Vehicle Association, Wuling Motors actively participated in the formulation of Indonesian new energy vehicle-related policies and technical standards, and ecological Construction planning and other work. In September of the same year, Indonesia's Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Investment Management, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Health and other departments visited the Indonesian Wuling factory and inspected the progress of new energy. In November 2021, Indonesian Economic Coordinating Minister Airangka and Indonesian Industry Minister Agus unveiled the GSEV.
