Hubei Honghu No.1 high school

Honghu No.1 Middle School, formerly known as Jiangfeng Academy in the late Qing Dynasty, was founded in the 28th year of Daoguang (1848) with a long history. The name of the school has been changed 15 times, and it has gone through a rough time. In order to adapt to the development of modern education, 1999 moved as a whole. The newly-built Honghu No.1 Middle School faces Chibi in the east, Xiantao in the north, Dongting in the south and Honghu in the west.

From 1950s to 1980s, the school absorbed a group of competent college teachers, junior college students or undergraduates, who influenced several generations of Hongzhong people. Since 1990, the school has openly recruited teachers with good personal quality, high academic level, strong group strength and reasonable age structure for the society, laying a solid foundation for further glory.

In 2009, Honghu No.1 Middle School scored brilliantly in the college entrance examination and won the top prize in Jingzhou Arts and Sciences. Xiao Chiyang ranked second in science in the province with an excellent score of 688, while Li won the top prize in Jingzhou.
