Temple tonsure rules

Becoming a monk is designed for abbots and spreading Buddhism. Therefore, a monk must make up his mind to seek Buddhism and Taoism, cultivate the hearts of all beings, learn Buddhism, fully understand his own heart, bear the burden of Tathagata's family business, continue the wisdom of Buddhism, and make Buddhism last forever and circulate in ten directions. The ancients said that becoming a monk is a matter for a gentleman. It is not what the generals can do, but what they can do is to carry forward the sangha. It is good for Buddhists. It is necessary to make Buddhism live for a long time, circulate in ten directions, not break ignorance, restore self-nature, learn from the flood and benefit all beings, live in Buddhism, and keep talking about feasts. Based on the Tathagata's intention, a tonsure rule is established. Anyone who wants to become a monk in a temple must meet three conditions before shaving. First, there is a doctor's degree from a university, and the major and nationality are not limited. Second, after reading the Twelve Classics, the Pure Land Sect chose the following classics from the three directions of discipline, doctrine and cause and effect, namely Ten Commandments, Samadha Sutra of Buddhism, past lives Causality Sutra, Infinite Life Sutra of Buddhism, Infinite Life Sutra of Buddhism, Amitabha Sutra and Generosity. Each of the above twelve classics is required to be read at least 300 times, and at the same time, it is required to be familiar with and understand the three theories of pure land, namely, past life theory, pure land theory and Buddha chanting theory. Third, chanting and removing all karma means having a pure land in Dalagni, that is, chanting the past 300,000 times. At the same time, all men are required to stumble for more than an hour. People who have the above three items and are determined to become monks can have their hair cut. The so-called golden knife shaves off the mother's hair, removes dust and fatigue, and makes the body unclean. Monks in square robes appeared in the dome, and the French king took the seat of gentleman. After shaving, you must follow three prohibitions: no soliciting, no meeting and no confession. Anyone who violates the rules, regardless of the length of life and the level of deacons, will clean up the door, be demoted from the temple gate, be announced to the world, and keep his black name forever.
