Relationship between Jilin Forest Industry Group and Jilin Provincial Forestry Department

China Jilin Forest Industry Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Jilin Forest Industry Group") is one of the four largest forest industry groups in China, one of the top 500 manufacturing enterprises in China and one of the top ten enterprise groups in Jilin Province. Its jurisdiction is located in Changbai Mountain forest region of Jilin Province, known as "Changbai Mountain Forest", and it is an important ecological barrier and timber production base of the country. China Jilin Forest Industry Group was formerly the Northeast Logging Company founded in 1950. On 1994, it was approved by three ministries and became the first batch of large-scale pilot enterprise groups in China. In 2006, it was restructured into a limited liability company. The group is headquartered in Changchun City, Jilin Province.

Jilin Forest Industry Group, formerly known as Jilin Logging Company, was established in April 1950. It mainly manages state-owned forest industry enterprises, and belongs to Northeast Forest Industry General Administration. 1August, 952, directly led by the Forestry Department of the Northeast People's Government. 1June, 954, it was renamed Jilin Provincial Forest Industry Administration, directly under the leadership of the State Forestry Department. Due to historical reasons, the Forest Industry Group and Jilin Provincial Forestry Department experienced a trinity development process from May 65438 to May 0958. Until June 1993, the first batch of 57 large enterprise groups were piloted by the state to establish a modern enterprise system. With the consent of the provincial government and the approval of three ministries and commissions, Jilin Forest Industry Group was officially put into production in March 1994, and the main department level was established, directly under the provincial government. In 2004, the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) was established in Jilin Province to exercise the function of investor on behalf of the Jilin provincial government, and the Group became one of the provincial large enterprise groups managed by SASAC.
