Fujian Vocational College of Information Technology is a full-time general higher vocational college with the approval of the provincial government and the record of the Ministry of Education in February 2003, focusing on engineering, combining industry and commerce, and featuring information technology. It is directly under the Fujian Provincial Department of Education. The college originated from Fuzhou YMCA College and was founded in 1906, with a history of 102. In 2008, the college was identified as the first batch of demonstration higher vocational colleges in Fujian Province by the Provincial Department of Education, the Department of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission.

The college adheres to the tenet of "service-oriented, employment-oriented, ability-oriented, quality-oriented and first-class characteristics" and the school motto of "respecting morality and strengthening ability". The comprehensive level of running a school, specialty construction, students' employment, social services, etc. ranks in the forefront of higher vocational colleges in the province. There are currently 5,500 students.

College is a training base for skilled talents in the technical field in computer applications and software, a training base for high-skilled talents in the electronic information industry, and a three-dimensional CAD education and training base, which is determined by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Information Industry, and has become an important training base for information technology talents in Fujian Province. In 2006, the College was awarded "Advanced Vocational Education Unit in Fujian Province" by the Organization Department of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Education Department and other departments 12. ● Conditions for running a school

At present, the college covers an area of nearly 300 mu, with a building area of nearly 6.5438+0.4 million square meters. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 40.4 million yuan, 2,200 teaching computers and 520,000 books in the library. A campus network (Gigabit) connecting three campuses has been built, with a total of 23 subnets.

● Teaching staff

There are 554 faculty members, 342 teachers, 4 professors, 4 associate professors 102, 4 doctors, 56 masters 175 double-qualified teachers, accounting for 72% of professional teachers. ● Specialty and curriculum construction

The college now has seven departments, including electronic engineering, software engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, construction engineering, business administration, media art and applied language, with a total of 32 majors, and the professional setting covers five of the eight key development areas of higher vocational education in our province. At present, it has four provincial-level excellent majors, including electronic information engineering technology, mold design and manufacturing, communication technology and numerical control technology, and 12 provincial-level excellent courses. The number of provincial-level quality specialty and provincial-level quality courses ranks in the forefront of higher vocational colleges in the province.

● Construction of training base

The school has 7 training bases, 70 training rooms and 35 basic laboratories. Computer applications and software Technical Training Base is the "Vocational Education Training Base Supported by the Central Government in 2005" determined by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance. Three training bases, namely, electronic engineering technology training base, numerical control and mold technology training base and construction engineering technology training base, have been recognized as provincial training bases, and the three-dimensional CAD education training base is the national excellent education training base. There are national vocational skill appraisal stations, which can identify more than 20 types of workers, technicians and senior technicians; Cooperate with large and medium-sized enterprises to build 147 off-campus training base and 17 on-campus training place.

● Order training

The College actively promoted the reform of personnel training mode, and cooperated with Amoi Electronics, Fujian Peng Jun Hardware, Digital China Network, Provincial Geological Surveying and Mapping Institute, Xindong Network, China Education Power, Xinzhongguan, three yuan da, Yonghui Group and other enterprises to carry out order training. In 2007, Amoi Electronics Class, Peng Jun Mould Class, Digital China Network Technology Class and other order training ratios reached 365,438+. ● Students' professional ability

Since 2004, students in our college have won 13 1 prizes in national and provincial skill competitions, including 37 national prizes, 0 first prize, 6 second prize and 2 third prize. There are 94 provincial prizes, 34 first prizes, 25 second prizes and 35 third prizes. For example, in the final of the National ITAT Education Engineering Employment Skills Competition sponsored by the Ministry of Education in June 5438+065438+ 10, 2007, four players from the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of our college participated in the AUTOCAD mechanical design project final (the number of participants in the project final 172, including 7 in our province), and won two first prizes (five in the whole country) and two second prizes. In May, 2008, in the skill competition of Fujian Vocational College and the third national numerical control skill competition, I won the first place in four projects, the first place in two single events and the second place in two single events in the higher vocational group.

● Graduate employment rate

The graduates of our college are very popular with employers. The employment rate and registration rate of students rank in the forefront of higher vocational colleges in the province, and the employment rate of graduates is over 96%. In 2006, the employment work was rated as excellent by the Provincial Personnel Department and the Education Department. 100% of the graduates have obtained corresponding skill level certificates, among which the passing rate of senior workers is 24.7%.
