The content and scope of political review have different requirements in different historical periods. For example, among the civil servants who apply for the exam, those who enter the exam through written interview and physical examination mainly emphasize the candidates' ideological progress, excellent moral character, decent style, strong organizational discipline and strong legal concept. Of course, it also includes whether you have a criminal record or criminal record, whether you have joined a cult organization, and whether you have been subject to administrative sanctions or disciplinary sanctions within the party.

At present, civil servants and institutions are the main units for political examination of newly hired personnel. Most state-owned enterprises don't conduct political review on newcomers, so your father's criminal record will not affect your work in state-owned enterprises.
