The first phase under construction starts from Nanzhuang and passes through Nanzhuang, Shiwan, Qi Kui Road, Kudongping Waterway, Fochen Road, Wendeng Road, Lin Yue Road and chencun waterway to Guangzhou South Railway Station, all of which are restricted areas. The second phase is planned to extend to the west and arrive at Foshan CRRC base in Gaoming, Xi via Xiqiao, but the second phase is planned to start after the first phase is completed.

Metro Line 3 starts from Shunde College Station of Guangzhou-Zhuhai Rail Transit in the south (updated news is that it extends to Shunde Port Station in the south), and passes through Daliang, Lunjiao, Beijiao, Foshan New City, Wenhua Road, Ji Hua Road, Nanhai Avenue, Foshan Railway Station and Foshan West Railway Station, and reaches the Institute of Science and Technology in the north. Except for the lion mountain, all other places are forbidden areas.
