Guangdong Vocational and Technical School of Environmental Protection, founded in 1978, is the first public school of environmental protection in China, which belongs to Guangdong Provincial Environmental Protection Department. Over the past 30 years, the school has trained a large number of professionals for environmental protection bureaus and environmental monitoring stations at all levels in Guangdong Province, and trained a large number of environmental protection elites and business backbones for environmental protection enterprises. In the past three years, the employment rate of graduates has reached over 95%. In 2009, the school ushered in a grand celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Jinan Sea Campus. Guangzhou Campus: Guangzhou Campus is located in No.5 Yard, Yuancun West Street, Tianhe District, adjacent to Tianhe District Government and Tianhe Park, and within the CBD of Guangzhou New Town. Guangzhou campus covers an area of 23 mu, with a building area of 20,000 square meters, convenient transportation and perfect teaching and living facilities. The school has also set up an environmental impact price center, an analysis and testing center, an environmental engineering design center and an ecological and landscape engineering center to undertake related business externally and serve as a base for teaching, student skills training and production practice internally. Relying on geographical advantages, it will become Guangdong Environmental Protection Science and Technology Service Center, Environmental Protection Science and Technology Achievements Industrialization Incubation Base, Environmental Protection Professional and Technical Personnel Exchange Center, and employment recommendation platform for graduates in Guangdong Province. Nanhai Campus: Nanhai Campus is located in Danzao Town National Eco-industrial Park, Nanhai District, Foshan City, close to Guangzhou West Second Ring Expressway, with convenient transportation. Nanhai campus covers an area of 476 mu. According to the standards of modern vocational schools, the overall scale is 10000 students, which was put into use in September 2009. The total area of the teaching building is10.9 million square meters, and there are 2 16 classrooms, all equipped with advanced audio-visual equipment, which can accommodate 8,000 students at the same time. The experimental training center covers a total area of 42,000 square meters and has various professional laboratories and training rooms. The student living area has 50,000 square meters of student apartments, supporting student canteens, student activity centers and other living service facilities. The sports area consists of a stadium, a 400-meter standard track and field, a standard football field, 32 basketball courts and volleyball courts, which can meet the different physical exercise requirements of students.
