When I first entered Lianchuang, more than 20 computers came into view, and a pair of curious eyes stared at the computer screen. A group of China students who are striving for it are working hard.

We were greeted by Yu Zhou, with a slightly childish face behind his thick eyes. Although he is only a junior, he has visited the Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, USA. At a young age, he was already a PM (Project Management) in the Lianchuang team, and participated in this year's Microsoft MVP Global Summit as a Microsoft student partner.

This 100 square meter living room is the Lianchuang team studio, and there are three small lounges, which are also the dormitory for Lianchuang team life. This is the place where more than a dozen members of Lianchuang team work, eat and sleep. Here, IT embodies the IT dream of Lianchuang young people, which is the cornerstone of their future career.

In the slightly messy dormitory, we talked with three core members of the Lianchuang team-Yu Zhou (School of Software), Wang (School of Mechanical Engineering), recalled their college life changed by Lianchuang, looked back at their ideals established by Lianchuang, and talked about their stories with Lianchuang. ...

Here, every member of Lianchuang has his own unforgettable and proud talk. As a student representative, Yu Zhou was invited by Microsoft to listen to Gates' speech at the opening ceremony of the 2007 Microsoft MVP Global Summit. Because of her outstanding performance in Microsoft campus recruitment, Chen Qi got an internship at ATC of Microsoft Asia Institute of Engineering. During more than five years of co-creation, Wang successively won the third place in the information technology competition of Greater China University, the fifth place in the virtual project of Microsoft imagine cup in 2006, and the title of Microsoft's Most Valuable Expert (MVP) in 2006. Lianchuang was founded just six years ago and won many honors. In 2003, Lianchuang won 45% of the awards in the Information Technology Competition for College Students in Greater China. In 2006, Microsoft Imagination Cup IT Challenge ranked eighth in the world, and the virtual video game project went to Delhi to participate in the finals and won the fifth place in the world. Every new member has a career plan, and under the guidance of the old members, he moves steadily in this direction step by step. After the experience of Lianchuang, each member has learned something in a certain field. During Chen Qi's internship at Microsoft Asia Institute of Engineering, two interns from other universities spent two months developing the program that could not be completed, and Chen Qi completed it in one week. Chen Qi's outstanding performance was recognized by Microsoft Asia Institute of Engineering, and he was given the opportunity to continue his internship at Microsoft. Less than two years after entering Lianchuang, Wang Shanshan has won the first place in China of imagine cup 2006 Virtual Electronic Game Competition and the18th place in the world of Algorithm Competition, and was invited to attend the 2006 Microsoft Embedded Developers Conference (MEDC) in China as the only university student representative. Yu Zhou also won the 8th place in Microsoft imagine cup IT Challenge in 2006, and was awarded the title of Microsoft's best student partner.

Students who have participated in the Lianchuang recruitment examination know that Lianchuang recruitment has the shadow of Microsoft recruitment, but it is more distinctive and more in line with the needs of team recruitment. Microsoft's recruitment needs five rounds. If you want to be a member of Lianchuang team, you must go through six rounds of "tempering", including written test, interview and even night trial. 15 students, including, and Wang, all passed this round of level test, and stood out from hundreds of contestants and became members of the joint creative team. The three of them still remember the entrance exam of Lianchuang, and told us the all-night exam and the sixth round interview that impressed them with great interest.

All-night test is the initiative of Lianchuang, which is dubbed "night test" by the team. From 9: 00 p.m. to 6: 00 a.m. the members' abilities of quick learning, problem solving, using English, cooperation and perseverance were investigated.

After entering the examination room, each group gets 20 pages of English test questions and five reference books related to the exam (these five books are for all students in each group). In the nine-hour exam, the first thing I encountered was how to use reference books. Only by consulting with classmates and arranging the use of reference books reasonably can we ensure a smooth answer. Secondly, in the face of pure English test papers, students need to have a good English level, while students with poor English level can only be eliminated. Then you should have the ability to learn quickly, because the reference books you got during the exam are unprecedented. You should learn quickly and use this knowledge to answer questions in a few hours.

Perseverance is undoubtedly the most important thing, and students who have settled down for nine hours can laugh at the end. The Lianchuang team said that it is better to be short of things and to select talents who are proactive and pragmatic.

If the fifth round test of Lianchuang team embodies the talent selection system of "strict requirements and high standards", then the sixth round of Lianchuang team embodies people-oriented and respects talents and their families. Wang is an old member of Lianchuang and has participated in the sixth round of recruitment and selection of Lianchuang team for many times. He told us that in the sixth round of Lianchuang selection, the interviewer wore a formal suit to make the candidates feel that this is an important choice and should be treated with caution.

Wang said that people's energy is limited after all. Joining the Lianchuang team means spending a lot of time and energy on Lianchuang's research projects. I hope that candidates will seriously consider it when they meet the joint creation team and even conflict with the formal study time of the school. Because of this, in the sixth round of interview, they will ask candidates to call their parents on the spot to find out their attitude and ask for their opinions.

The Game between Career and Learning

Every member of Lianchuang is very devoted, even sleeping in the studio and facing the computer screen for more than ten hours every day. Under such circumstances, we can't help asking them how to handle the relationship between career and study. They said that spending so much time on research and development will definitely have an impact on their studies. At the end of each semester, the team will set aside a month for each member to review their lessons, and the learning ability formed in co-creation can always guarantee their exam results.

The senior members of the team seem to be somewhat professional. When they are faced with work, postgraduate entrance examination and how to choose a team, Lianchuang has a rule: fully respect the personal wishes of members.

Wang is an old member of the School of Mechanical Engineering, and was a junior at that time. When he decided to continue his graduate studies, he got the absolute support of Lianchuang. On the long road to postgraduate entrance examination, he continued to choose to live in Lianchuang's dormitory, but he didn't participate in R&D again, because he knew that the encouragement and support of the team would definitely be the booster for his postgraduate entrance examination. In the end, he entered the ranks of graduate students with the excellent results of the third place, and also returned to the technical department of Lianchuang team.

Creating Team Culture: People-oriented

Three months of lunch education. That is, every day at lunch, the Lianchuang team will arrange two old members to accompany two new members to have dinner, with the aim of letting the old members pass on the culture and tradition of the Lianchuang team to the new members, so as to know the new members' ideas in time, find problems and solve them.

Technical exchange before going to bed at night. Yu Zhou said that after a whole day's work, everyone is used to combing and exchanging the experience of the day before going to bed at night. Because the members of the team have different technical emphases, the communication process can let all team members know each other's technology and work progress, and even inspire them to do their own work well. Yu Zhou said that although I am a project manager, I also know some technologies of other groups, which helps to improve my technology in an all-round way.

Co-creation team: endless struggle.

Since its establishment in 2000, Lianchuang Team has made remarkable achievements in various international competitions in a short period of six years. When talking about the feelings of these achievements, they expressed their gratitude to the Lianchuang team.
