Taking the 2009 "Three Supports and One Support" plan for college graduates in Hubei Province as an example, the demand information table for support medical positions (the first batch of 563) clearly stated that only 34 people were in need of traditional Chinese medicine, which was less than 1/15 of the total number. . There are very few positions for traditional Chinese medicine doctors in traditional Chinese medicine hospitals, and the recruitment requirements for traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in the city are all graduate degrees or above. After finding a job, it takes three years of training to become a doctor. There is no salary for the three-year training, only a subsidy, which is about 2,000 a month. Three years later, you will be a small resident doctor, and you will only earn more than 3,000 points a month in our hospital (tertiary A). Your income will become more normal until you are admitted as an attending physician in 5 years. Calculate how many years it will take you.

Learning Chinese medicine is good in itself, but the living environment for Chinese medicine practitioners in this society is not ideal enough. You have to be mentally prepared. So for those who don’t know the current situation of the Chinese medicine profession here, I would like to say that if your family is well-off and can support you, or you have the connections to get you into the medical system, and you are interested and patient in studying Chinese medicine, then you are suitable for studying Chinese medicine. .

But if you generally have poor family conditions and hope to learn Chinese medicine and become a doctor to improve your family environment, or even ambitiously think that you can promote Chinese medicine, then forget it.
