Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone, referred to as Xiangtan Comprehensive Insurance Zone. Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone was established with the approval of the State Council on September 7, 20 13. This is the 32nd approved comprehensive bonded zone and the largest comprehensive bonded zone in Hunan Province. Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone is located in the national Xiangtan Economic and Technological Development Zone. The total investment in bonded area construction is estimated to be 3.679 billion yuan. There are four functional areas, namely, bonded processing zone, bonded logistics zone, customs clearance operation zone and comprehensive service zone, with primary and secondary ports, which have many international port functions such as bonded, warehousing, customs, commodity inspection and quarantine.

Xiangtan Free Trade Zone implements a customs clearance operation mode, an integrated, efficient and fast operation process, a "24-hour" customs clearance system, and customs clearance data is "entered once, used many times and shared with information" to realize the rapid customs clearance of goods with "one declaration, one inspection and one release".
