217. The basic joint venture agreement of Shanghai GM (now SAIC GM) was signed on October 31, 1995, and the joint venture company was formally established in June 1997. The joint venture term is 2 years and will expire in 217. SAIC mainly has three joint ventures for passenger vehicles, namely SAIC-GM, SAIC-Volkswagen and SAIC-GM-Wuling, and three joint ventures for commercial vehicles, namely, SAIC Nanjing Iveco, SAIC Iveco Hongyan and SAIC Shenwo.
