Tangshan Maternal and Child Health Hospital is the largest municipal maternal and child health hospital invested by UNICEF in North China. Established in September 1983. It is the Tangshan Maternal and Child Health and Family Planning Technical Guidance Center, the national third-class first-class maternal and child health hospital, the baby-friendly demonstration hospital in Hebei Province, the Baijia Hospital in Hebei Province, and the affiliated hospital of North China Coal Medical College. Tangshan Maternal and Child Health Hospital is the largest municipal maternal and child health hospital in Hebei Province aided by UNICEF after the earthquake, and also the largest maternal and child health hospital in North China. It undertakes six social functions, such as maternal and child health care, medical treatment, scientific research and training, family planning technical guidance, health education and information management. 1999 was rated as the national "third-class first-class" maternal and child health hospital. As an affiliated hospital of North China Coal Medical College, the hospital also undertakes the tasks of clinical teaching and scientific research.
