Brief introduction of college

Nanjing Railway Vocational and Technical College was established in June 2002 with the approval of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is also a higher vocational and technical college jointly established by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and Shanghai Railway Bureau. The college has a long history of running a school. Its predecessor was Nanjing Special Municipal No.1 Vocational Middle School, which was founded in 194 1. From 65438 to 0955, it was renamed Nanjing Railway Transportation School, which was managed by the Ministry of Railways for a long time. In 2004, the college was established, and it was placed under the management of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education by Shanghai Railway Bureau of the Ministry of Railways. In August, 2007, Jiangsu Provincial People's Government decided to merge the former Suzhou Electromechanical Higher Vocational and Technical School into our college. Since its establishment 67 years ago, the College has trained tens of thousands of professionals, making positive contributions to China's rail transit and local economic development.

Guided by Deng Xiaoping Theory, Theory of Three Represents and Scientific Outlook on Development, the College adheres to the tenet of "serving all students, serving the rail transit industry and serving the local economy", and actively implements the development strategy of "strengthening the school with quality, strengthening the school with talents and opening up" around the school-running concept of "having a foundation in the industry and having characteristics in the railway", and insists on paying equal attention to pre-job education and post-job education. At present, there are 8 departments, including transportation management department, automatic control department, communication engineering department, finance and trade department, computer department, tourism department, fine arts department, railway power and engineering department, basic department, international cooperation department and continuing education college, with 2 departments/kloc-0. The College has newly built and renovated eight on-campus training centers, with 68 experimental training rooms and 1 electrified railway training sites, more than 100 off-campus training bases, national vocational skill appraisal stations for railway special trades and national vocational skill appraisal stations for general trades. Library collection 1 10,000 volumes (including e-books).

The College actively carried out international exchanges and cooperation, introduced advanced foreign educational concepts and curriculum systems, and successively cooperated with Dell International Business School in Canada to run schools, and signed agreements with Fukuoka Seiki College in Japan, West Japan University of Technology, Hastings College of Art and Technology in Britain and Korea Railway University to carry out cooperative education and exchanges.

The college adheres to employment orientation, constantly strengthens school-enterprise cooperation and broadens employment channels for graduates. More than 20 enterprises (stations and sections) jointly initiated the establishment of a school-enterprise cooperation development Committee and signed school-enterprise cooperation agreements with many enterprises. Since 2005, the enrollment scale of the college has increased steadily, the admission score of college entrance examination has increased year by year, the registration rate of freshmen has increased year by year, and the quality of employment has improved year by year.
