Rongjiang, formerly known as Guzhou, is one of the 800 states in the south of the Yangtze River, belonging to Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture. Located in the center of the border of Hunan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces, it is adjacent to Liping County and congjiang county in the east, Leishan County and Sandu County in the west, Jianhe County in the north and Libo County in the south. Since ancient times, it has been known as "the key to southeastern Guizhou and the first heavy area in Miaojiang". The total area of the county is 33 15.8 square kilometers.
