Leizhou Ancient City refers to the place where the ancient Leizhou Prefecture was located. The most famous cultural relics and historic sites include: Lei Zu Temple, Sanyuan Pagoda, Shixian Temple, Tianning Temple, West Lake Park, etc.

Maodeggong Ancient City is one of the most historic ancient cities in Leizhou. It is famous for its imitation Tang style. The city gate consists of three arched gates and high walls are built on both sides. Passing through the city gate, you will see ancient stone streets and red brick houses, all showing the prosperity of the Tang Dynasty. The strings of red lanterns under the eaves make the ancient city full of warmth and mystery. In the grand theater in the center of the ancient city, you can enjoy opera performances with strong local customs.
