You don't need to take the pharmacist exam before you take the junior pharmacist exam. As long as your education and work experience meet the relevant conditions, you can directly sign up for the licensed pharmacist exam.

According to the provisions of Article 9 of the Interim Provisions on the Qualification System of Licensed Pharmacists, all citizens of People's Republic of China (PRC) and persons of other nationalities who are allowed to work in China can sign up for the qualification examination of licensed pharmacists if they meet one of the following conditions:

(1) Having obtained a technical secondary school degree in pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine or related majors and having been engaged in pharmacy or traditional Chinese medicine for seven years.

(2) Having obtained a college degree in pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine or related majors, and having been engaged in pharmacy or traditional Chinese medicine for five years.

(3) Having obtained a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine or related majors, and having been engaged in pharmacy or traditional Chinese medicine for three years.

(4) Obtained the second bachelor's degree in pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine or related majors, graduated from postgraduate courses or obtained a master's degree, and worked in pharmacy or traditional Chinese medicine for 1 year.

(five) to obtain a doctorate in pharmacy, Chinese medicine or related majors.

Article 14 of the Interim Provisions on the Qualification System of Licensed Pharmacists shall be stamped with the special seal for registration by the drug administrations of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government in the column of the Qualification Certificate of Licensed Pharmacists, and the Registration Certificate of Licensed Pharmacists in People's Republic of China (PRC) uniformly printed by the State Administration of Pharmaceutical Products shall be issued and reported to the State Administration of Pharmaceutical Products for the record.

Fifteenth licensed pharmacists can only be registered in one province, autonomous region or municipality directly under the central government. A licensed pharmacist who changes the field and scope of practice shall go through the registration formalities in time.
