Introduction to Yunnan Meteorological Bureau

The Yunnan Provincial Meteorological Bureau is a central unit stationed in Yunnan. It was founded in October 1954. It implements dual leadership of the meteorological department and the local people's government, with the meteorological department leading the management system. Authorized by the Yunnan Provincial People's Government, the Yunnan Provincial Meteorological Bureau assumes the government administrative functions of meteorological work within its administrative region and is responsible for the organization and management of meteorological work in the province. The meteorological undertaking is a scientific and technological, basic social welfare undertaking. It adheres to the development concept of "public meteorology, safety meteorology, and resource meteorology" and adheres to the service tenet of "people-oriented, meticulous and omnipresent".
