Beijing Satellite Factory (Factory 529) is a high-tech enterprise located in Zhongguancun High-tech Park, which belongs to the Fifth Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. Founded in June 5438+September 1. 0958, the enterprise is an important base for spacecraft research and production in China. China's first artificial earth satellite "Dongfanghong-1", the first recoverable remote sensing satellite, the first experimental communication satellite and the first manned experimental spacecraft "Shenzhou-1" were born here. We have successfully completed the structural development, final assembly test and launch services of more than 60 satellites and spacecraft in the fields of scientific experiments, recoverable, earth remote sensing, resource exploration, navigation and communication, and made great contributions to the development of China's space industry and space technology.

Beijing Satellite Factory was transferred from Beijing Scientific Instrument Factory of China Academy of Sciences to China Academy of Space Technology on February 27th, 1968. It is a national key large-scale enterprise, which mainly undertakes the scientific research, production, assembly and test of China artificial satellites and various spacecraft structures, as well as the scientific research and production of some on-board products and ground equipment, and participates in the launch mission.
