Huizhou No.1 Middle School was established in 1929, which was formed by the merger of Huiyang No.1 Middle School, Huiyang Bianshan Middle School, Pingping Middle School and Wenming Middle School. The names of the schools are Huiyang No.1 Middle School, Huiyang No.1 Middle School and Huizhou Middle School successively, and they have been called Huizhou No.1 Middle School since 1965, and they have been used ever since.
