Basic introduction of Maanshan line
Ma On Shan Line (read aloud in Cantonese: maaonsaansin;; Before the merger of the two railways, it was called Maanshan Railway. Formerly known as "Kowloon-Canton Railway") is one of the east rail line branch lines operated by the Hong Kong Railway Company Limited. It starts from Tai Wai in Sha Tin District, passes through Yi Yi Ming Village and Bokang Village located east of Shing Mun River, as well as other public housing estates, Prince of Wales Hospital, Sha Tin First City and Shimen Industrial Zone, and finally enters Ma On Shan New Town, with Wu Kaisha as the terminal. The total length of the line is 1 1.4 km, and the whole journey time is 16 minutes. * * * There are 9 stations along the line, of which Dawei Station is connected with east rail line, which is the only transfer station on Maanshan Line. Most sections of Ma 'anshan Line are viaducts, and only a small part of them start from the ground in the central separation zone of Tate's Cairn Highway.
