Stomatological Hospital of Wuhan University, formerly known as Stomatological Hospital of Hubei Medical University, was founded in 1960. From 65438 to 0993, the Department of Stomatology of Hubei Medical College was renamed as the School of Stomatology of Hubei Medical University; On August 2, 2000, with the approval of the State Council, the former Wuhan University, Wuhan University of Water Resources and Electric Power, Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping and Hubei Medical University formed the new Wuhan University, and the hospital was renamed Wuhan University Stomatological Hospital.

The School of Stomatology of Wuhan University has the right to award the doctorate of stomatology, and basic stomatology is a national key discipline.
