The First Affiliated Hospital of xi 'an Jiaotong University (Xi 'an Jiaotong University First Hospital), established in 1956, is the largest comprehensive third-class first-class hospital in northwest China. Now it has more than 2,000 beds, and receives outpatients 1 more than 10,000 times a year.

It is a doctoral degree point and postdoctoral mobile station in clinical medicine. Eight doctoral programs were awarded in the two disciplines. Entrusted by the Ministry of Education, it undertakes the teaching tasks of more than 60 foreign students every year. It is one of the few teaching units in China that can train foreign undergraduates and postgraduates.

In order to meet the people's medical needs and realize the expansion of high-quality resources, the hospital has comprehensively promoted the development strategy of "one hospital and multiple districts" and created a development pattern of "three hospitals and four districts".

"Third Hospital" includes General Hospital (Yanta District, Xi City), Lugang Hospital (Xi 'an International Port Area, under construction) and Dongyuan District (Xi yanliang district); "Four Districts" include Xingshan Temple District, Nanyuan District (under construction), Executive Yuan District, and Innovation Harbor MED-X Institute. The hospital has 5 185 employees, including 782 professional technicians with senior titles.
