What counties are there in Hami?

Hami has jurisdiction over Yiwu County and Barkol Kazak Autonomous County. Yiwu county is the southernmost county of Hami city, an important border county in Xinjiang, and also the main planting base of red dates and grapes. Barkol Kazak Autonomous County is the southeast county of Hami City, with beautiful scenery and rich products, and is known as the natural oxygen bar of Hami City. Therefore, Hami City has two counties under its jurisdiction, namely Yiwu County and Barkol Kazak Autonomous County. Hami, formerly known as Kunmo, Kunwu, Yizhou, Yiwu and Hami Wei, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Located in the east of Xinjiang, it is 404 kilometers from east to west and 440 kilometers from north to south. It is adjacent to Jiuquan City in Gansu Province in the east and southeast, Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture in the south, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture and Turpan City in the west and southwest, and Mongolia in the north and northeast.
