1, Shanghai medical insurance card can be used in cities where medical treatment in different places is opened. Shanghai has opened entrusted reimbursement services for medical treatment in different places with Hangzhou, Jiaxing, Huzhou, Ningbo and Anji in Zhejiang, Zhenjiang, Changzhou, Nantong, Yangzhou and Dafeng in Jiangsu, Maanshan in Anhui and Luoyang in Henan 12 cities. Shanghai citizens can use their medical insurance cards to swipe their cards at designated hospitals in the above provinces for medical treatment;

In order to prevent hospitalization in different places, you must fill out two forms before going out: Application Form for Medical Treatment in Different Places with Basic Medical Insurance and Application Form for Visiting Family (Business) with Basic Medical Insurance for Urban Employees, and then go to the medical insurance management center for filing;

3. Once you are hospitalized due to illness in other places, you need to inform the unit in time. The unit also needs to fill in a form: the hospitalization report of the basic medical insurance for urban employees in different places, and report it to the medical insurance management center within 48 hours. The medical insurance center will entrust the local medical insurance agency to provide medical services for patients. It is particularly important to note that the expenses incurred in hospitalization in different places are paid in advance by individuals.
