What does it mean to pay social insurance?
Paying social insurance, commonly known as "five insurances and one gold", refers to five kinds of insurance, including endowment insurance, medical insurance, unemployment insurance, work injury insurance and maternity insurance; "One gold" refers to the old-age insurance, medical insurance and unemployment insurance in the housing provident fund. These three types of insurance are premiums paid by enterprises and individuals, and industrial injury insurance and maternity insurance are entirely borne by enterprises.
The state enforces social insurance. Usually, the company allows employees to buy after the probation period.
