Article 9 of the Measures for the Administration of Social Security Cards of the People's Republic of China

The social security card adopts a nationally standardized card face style, with the words "Social Security Card of the People's Republic of China" printed on the front side and the name of the cardholder printed on the back. The back of the card bears the name of the cardholder, the social security number, the cardholder's photo, and the issuing organization.

Article 12

In the case of the initial card production, replacement of card vendors and products, the card must be produced through the official card production environment to test the card, through the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security Leading Group Office of Informatization of the organization of the standard compliance audit, security audit and cross-regional universality test, before the official production and issuance.
