Can social security cards only be used in designated hospitals?

Legal analysis: Beijing social security card can only be used in selected designated hospitals, and cannot be reimbursed in other designated hospitals, except for emergency.

Legal basis: Provisions of Beijing Municipality on Basic Medical Insurance

Twenty-ninth basic medical insurance fund to pay the following medical expenses:

(a) hospitalization expenses;

(two) emergency rescue and hospitalization, medical expenses incurred within 7 days before hospitalization;

(three) outpatient medical expenses for taking anti-rejection drugs after radiotherapy and chemotherapy, renal dialysis and renal transplantation for malignant tumors.

Thirtieth basic medical insurance fund shall not pay the following medical expenses:

(a) to see a doctor in a medical institution other than the medical institution designated by me, except for emergency;

(2) purchasing drugs in non-designated retail pharmacies;

(3) Injuries caused by traffic accidents, medical accidents or other liability accidents;

(four) because I take drugs, fight or other illegal acts;

(five) due to suicide, self-mutilation, alcoholism and other reasons to receive treatment;

(6) being treated abroad or in Hongkong, Macao Special Administrative Region or Taiwan Province Province;

(seven) in accordance with the provisions of the state and the city should be paid by individuals.
