Legal analysis: Maternity medical expenses include medical examination expenses, delivery expenses, operation expenses, hospitalization expenses and medicine expenses incurred by female employees due to pregnancy and childbirth. Caesarean section and natural delivery have different reimbursement rates according to different hospital levels:

1. Medical expenses for natural childbirth: level III hospital 1900 yuan, level II hospital 1800 yuan, level I hospital 1700 yuan.

2. Medical expenses for artificial intervention in childbirth: 2 100 yuan for tertiary hospitals, 2,000 yuan for secondary hospitals and 1 1900 yuan.

3. Medical expenses for cesarean section without other operations: 3,800 yuan for tertiary hospitals, 3,700 yuan for secondary hospitals and 3,500 yuan for primary hospitals.

4. Medical expenses for cesarean section plus other operations: 4,000 yuan for tertiary hospitals, 3,900 yuan for secondary hospitals and 3,600 yuan for primary hospitals.

The payment ratio varies from place to place, so the specific reimbursement ratio is also different. It is suggested that the local social security department consult the detailed reimbursement ratio.

Legal basis: According to the provisions of the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), medical expenses that meet the basic medical insurance drug list, diagnosis and treatment items, scope of medical service facilities and emergency rescue provisions shall be paid by the basic medical insurance fund in accordance with state regulations. The following medical expenses are not included in the payment scope of the basic medical insurance fund:
