Institutions pay social security.

Legal analysis: institutions and their staff members participate in social insurance according to law. Institutions have five insurances and one fund, mainly including endowment insurance, medical insurance, unemployment insurance, work injury insurance, maternity insurance and housing accumulation fund.

Legal basis: Article 35 of the Regulations on Personnel Management of Public Institutions in People's Republic of China (PRC), the state establishes a mechanism for the normal wage increase of staff in public institutions. Institutions and their staff members shall participate in social insurance according to law, and staff members shall enjoy social insurance benefits according to law.
