The difference between cancellation and transfer of social security card

Cancelling the social security card means canceling your social security account, and the money inside can be taken out. If you want to continue to pay social security in the future, you can only re-open a social security account.

Transfer to social security is only used in different places, and the social security account is still there.

There are generally three steps to cancel the social security card, as follows:

1, preparation materials, certification materials approved or announced by relevant departments, original and photocopy of organization code certificate, and fill out the Application Form for Cancellation of Payment of Social Security in One City in duplicate;

2. During the cancellation of social security, the payer prepares the above information and applies to the competent tax authorities;

3. Business acceptance time: 1 till the end of each month. If the social insurance premium, late payment fee and interest penalty are not paid, the cancellation procedures cannot be handled. Before going through the cancellation formalities, you must go through the formalities of reducing the membership. If the social security institution is changed across regions, the original social security institution will go through the cancellation procedures, and then the new insured institution will go through the payment registration procedures.

The social insurance transfer process is as follows:

1. Before the insured person moves across regions, after going through the formalities of stopping payment, the employer or the insured person shall apply to the social security agency where the basic old-age insurance relationship is located to issue the payment voucher for the basic old-age insurance, or log on to the portal website of Chengdu Human Resources and Social Security Bureau to issue the payment voucher in the "Electronic Social Security Certificate Inquiry and Printing" section, and provide the insured person's resident ID card and other relevant supporting materials as required.

2, social security agencies to review the relevant materials, in line with the conditions, for the transfer of the applicant to print the "basic old-age insurance payment certificate".

3, the insured with the "basic old-age insurance payment certificate" and related materials to the new employment of social security institutions to apply for transfer.

4. The social security agency of the original insured place shall go through the transfer formalities within 15 working days after receiving the transfer contact letter from the social security agency of the new employment place, transfer the fund, and send the basic old-age insurance relationship transfer and connection information form to the social security agency of the receiving place. If the personal insurance is handled by an agent, the original ID card of the agent and the power of attorney signed by both parties are also required.

Article 57

The employing unit shall, within 30 days from the date of its establishment, apply to the local social insurance agency for social insurance registration with its business license, registration certificate or unit seal. The social insurance agency shall, within fifteen days from the date of receiving the application, examine and issue the social insurance registration certificate. Where the social insurance registration items of the employing unit are changed or the employing unit is terminated according to law, it shall, within 30 days from the date of change or termination, go to the social insurance agency to handle the change or cancellation of social insurance registration. The market supervision and management department, the civil affairs department and the organization management organ shall promptly inform the social insurance agency of the establishment and termination of the employing unit, and the public security organ shall promptly inform the social insurance agency of the birth, death, household registration, migration and cancellation of the individual.
