Can dental implants be reimbursed by social security card?

Dental implant medical insurance cannot be reimbursed, and it is a self-funded project. Dental implants have not been included in the scope of medical insurance, so patients are advised to choose a regular dental hospital for dental implants.

Medical insurance is mainly to reimburse the insured for medical expenses caused by illness or accidental injury, while dental expenses are generally within the scope of exemption, including tooth filling, tooth cleaning, tooth extraction, tooth implantation and so on. Therefore, insurance companies usually do not reimburse, but if the insured has to undergo dental treatment because of accidental injury, medical insurance can usually reimburse part of the medical expenses.

Precautions for dental implant:

1. Before operation, complete oral surface tomography and oral CT should be performed, and the implant guide plate should be made after accurate measurement.

2. Anticoagulants should be stopped one week in advance and ultrasonic scaling should be performed to restore periodontal health.

3. Incise the gums during the operation, and thoroughly clean the granulation tissue when the bone surface is exposed, so as not to affect the healing of the implant.
