Therefore, from the policy point of view, China still encourages the unemployed to continue to pay social insurance.

After paying social insurance, we see the monthly pension return after retirement. The calculation formula of monthly pension is unified throughout the country, including basic pension and personal account pension. This was determined by the State Council Document No.38 in 2005, and it has not changed so far. Among them, the personal account pension is related to our payment period and payment base, and the basic pension is mainly linked to the average salary of the local society.

Personal account pension is equal to the balance of personal account divided by the number of months determined by retirement age. According to the amount of money calculated above, the personal account at retirement is about 200,000. The personal account of a 60-year-old retiree is 139 months, so the personal account pension can receive 1000 yuan almost every month. But there are also some basic pensions, which makes the amount we pay far less than the amount paid by the pension.

In addition, social insurance is not only our old-age insurance, but also medical insurance. After paying social insurance, we can enjoy the right of medical insurance. Article 28 of the Social Insurance Law stipulates that medical expenses that meet the basic medical insurance drug list, diagnosis and treatment items, medical service facilities standards and emergency rescue shall be paid by the basic medical insurance fund in accordance with state regulations.

In other words, when we go to designated medical institutions, there is a certain proportion of reimbursement for outpatient service and hospitalization, thus reducing our medical burden. With the continuous improvement of China's social insurance system, more and more drugs are included in the scope of medical insurance, reducing the burden of difficult and expensive medical treatment.

Generally speaking, it is cost-effective to pay social insurance. As far as medical insurance is concerned, it relieves the pressure of our life.
