If the social security card is lost, it shall be officially reported to the business outlets of the cooperative banks in accordance with relevant regulations, or it may be reported temporarily through the telephone consultation service hotline of human resources and social security 12333 or the telephone service hotline of the cooperative banks. The cardholder shall, within 15 days after handling the temporary loss reporting, go to the business outlets of cooperative banks to handle the formal loss reporting procedures of social security cards in accordance with the relevant regulations of cooperative banks. If the cardholder fails to go through the formal loss reporting procedures within 15 days after the expiration of the temporary loss reporting period, the social security card will automatically cancel the loss reporting.

If the original card is retrieved within the temporary loss reporting period, the original card can be used to handle the loss reporting and cancellation procedures at any social security card service window of social security agencies or business outlets of cooperative banks with valid identity documents, or the loss reporting and cancellation procedures of social security cards can be handled by calling the telephone consultation service hotline of human resources and social security 12333 or the telephone service hotline of cooperative banks.
