Can I transfer back my social security from working abroad?

The social security of working abroad can be transferred back.

Social security transfer refers to the transfer of the pension insurance relationship in for the participants in the cross-provincial mobility of employment, the transfer of pension insurance relations need to go through three processes, the participant can simply apply for, the rest of the work will be carried out by the social security departments of the two places of the docking transfer.

Social security transfer process:

(1) the insured person in the new place of employment in accordance with the provisions of the establishment of the basic pension insurance relationship and contributions, by the employer or insured person to the new place of social security agencies to submit a written application for the transfer of the basic pension insurance relationship.

(2) Within 15 working days, the social security agency of the new place of participation shall examine the application for transfer and continuity, and if the conditions stipulated in these Measures are met, it shall issue a letter of acceptance to the social security agency of the place where the insured person's original basic old-age insurance relationship is located and provide the relevant information; if the conditions of the transfer and continuity are not met, it shall give a written explanation to the applying unit or the insured person.

(3) Within 15 working days of receiving the letter of acceptance, the social security agency in the place where the original basic pension insurance relationship is located will complete the procedures for the transfer and continuity.

(4) Upon receipt of the basic pension insurance relationship and funds transferred by the social security agency in the place where the participant's original basic pension insurance relationship is located, the agency in the new place of participation shall complete the relevant formalities within 15 working days, and notify the employer or the participant of the confirmation in a timely manner.

(5) The number of years of pension insurance contributions is cumulative, allowing for gaps in between, which can be made up or not.

Social security transfer application materials:

Application for the issuance of the "basic pension insurance contribution voucher"

After the termination of the labor relationship between the contributing unit and the employee, the employee or the contributing unit can apply for the issuance of the "basic pension insurance contribution voucher" by bringing the following materials to the local social insurance agency:

(1) "Application (Annex II), (2) the original and photocopy of the household register and identity card of the contributing employee (3) if the contributing employee entrusts another person to do the job for him, please provide a letter of attorney and the original and photocopy of the identity card of the person who entrusts him with the job (4) the "Employee's Pension Insurance Handbook" (5) if the time of participation in the work of the contributing employee, the number of years of deemed contributions and other relevant information needs to be recognized, the contributing employee's own Personnel Records should be issued (6) the dissolution of the (termination) of labor relations certificate, transfer procedures, the original and a copy of (7) other relevant materials specified in the policy.

Second, presenting the Certificate of Participation and applying for the continuation of the pension insurance relationship

The contributing employee presents the original and photocopies of the Certificate of Participation and fills in the Application Form for Transfer and Continuation of the Basic Pension Insurance Relationship to the social insurance organization in the new place of employment (Annex I), and, if he meets the conditions for transferring into the new place of employment, the new place of employment social insurance organization will issue a Letter of Contact for Transfer and Continuation of the Basic Pension Insurance Relationship to the original social insurance organization. The social security office of the new place of employment shall issue the "Contact Letter for Transfer and Continuation of Relationship" to the original social security office.

Three: Handling fund transfer procedures

After receiving the Letter of Contact, the former social security agency will check the relevant information to generate the Basic Pension Insurance Relationship Transfer and Continuation Information Form and handle fund transfer procedures, which will be transmitted to the social security agency in the new place of employment.

Fourth: Handling Insurance Procedures

The social security agency in the new place of employment will check the Information Sheet and the amount of transferred fund within 15 working days after receiving the Information Sheet and the transferred fund, and credit the transferred fund amount to the integrated fund and the personal account of the insured person according to the regulations, and notify the employing organization or the insured person to bring the following materials to confirm the transfer of the insurance relationship:

1. The Employee's Pension Insurance Handbook,

2. The Personnel File of the contributing employee, if the employee's participation in the work time, deemed contribution years and other relevant information needs to be recognized,

3. Other relevant materials as stipulated in the policy.
