Why is Hangzhou social security divided into regions?

Since 20021,Hangzhou has set up four independent medical security management jurisdictions, and medical insurance in Lin' an District has been incorporated into urban planning.

Since then, the insured units and individuals in Lin 'an District have fully enjoyed the unified standards in Hangzhou in terms of payment ratio, treatment enjoyment and handling services, and truly realized "the same treatment in the same city".

In addition, reducing the medical insurance premium rate of employees and improving the major illness insurance policy also appeared in this medical insurance policy adjustment.

According to the overall level of basic medical insurance, Hangzhou was previously divided into five overall planning areas, namely, urban area (including Xiaoshan, Yuhang and Fuyang), Lin 'an District, Chun 'an County, Tonglu County and jiande city. The framework of medical security system in all areas is unified, but there are still some scattered policies, and there are some differences in financing, treatment and management methods of medical insurance. The overall development of medical security in the city is unbalanced.

After the revision of the Measures, the medical security management areas are Hangzhou City (including Xiaoshan, Yuhang, Fuyang and Lin 'an), Tonglu County, Chun 'an County and jiande city City, which unified the city's medical security system and policy standards and laid a good foundation for promoting municipal overall planning.
